Sources & method

Every sample starts with an anonymous request to the Cleveland Museum of Art Open Access API. The build confirms the accession number, CC0 status, approved print-image host, JPEG format, pixel dimensions and source SHA-256 before creating any file. Each download includes museum source links and output hashes. The originals and request evidence remain in the project’s ignored local cache; public manifests contain provenance and checksums, not API secrets.

Access and reuse follow the museum’s published CC0 designation. A CC0 source does not imply museum endorsement. Images are composed here without cropping or enlargement. The fit tool’s pixel values are estimates; no physical print or color calibration has been performed.
